Bettie Louise Billingsley Obituary (1939 - 2016)

Bettie Billingsley 77, passed from this life November 17, 2016 at her home in Peoria, Illinois. Bettie was born May 8, 1939 in Bouge Chita, Mississippi, to John (Buster) and Gladys Broomhall. Bettie married Lynn Billingsley August 31, 1955 in Indinnola, Mississippi. Bettie loved sports. She loved shopping with and for her grandchildren. She would give each one five dollars and watch how they spent money. Bettie and Lynn enjoyed the last few years at Giant Goose Ranch. They were able to view various animals and enjoy the nature around them. Bettie loved her family very much. She enjoyed going for drives where they would often times find antique shops, She loved to eat out. The family describes Bettie as a Super Human. Surviving Bettie is her loving husband Lynn of the home. One Son, David and wife of San Antonio, Texas. Two daughter's Rhonda Billingsley and Lisa Billingsley of Peoria, Ill. Two sister's Nellie Walton of Talladega, Alabama. Helen Porter of Mannford, Oklahoma. Twelve Grandchildren. Fifteen Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Bernice Broomhall, One Sister, Bobby Joyce. Four brother's, John, Glen, Billie, Ronnie One son, Dennis and daughter Lorna. Her service will be Wednesday November 23, 2016 10:00am.in the Legacy Chapel of the Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home.Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery. Bettie and Lynn were formally of Sand Springs. While they lived in Sand Springs, Bettie served as Director of the Senior Citizens.
